Winter is about to get a whole lot cooler at MOXI, Santa Barbara’s wonderful contemporary museum devoted to science, technology and the arts, with a focus on interactive exhibits.

Sock skating is coming to MOXI’s rooftop, and with it, a ton of winter fun. MOXI is adapting to climate-friendly fun with iceless skating and activities designed to engage the next generation of climate crusaders. Opening November 18, this new seasonal exhibit will allow kids and adults to kick off their shoes to enjoy frictionless fun by sliding across a specialty tile floor reminiscent of ice, without the chill.
