| Lobero LIVE presents It’s Magic! on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2 PM & 6:30 PM. This family-friendly extravaganza, which has been delighting magic enthusiasts for more than five decades, re-appears next month on the Lobero stage for two new exciting live shows not to be missed. The curated ensemble of prestidigitators – featuring an impressive lineup of internationally recognized award-winning magicians from Las Vegas, exotic showrooms across the globe, and Hollywood’s renowned Magic Castle – includes Jay Johnson, Dana Daniels, Juliana Chen, Les Arnold and Dazzle, and Jason Bishop in his first Santa Barbara appearance. Called “the liveliest lineup of magic acts this side of Las Vegas!” by the The Los Angeles Times, Jay Johnson and his “unpredictable” wooden partner, aka Bob, offer up some crazy riffs and comic surprises. His uproarious comedy theatrical performance, “Jay Johnson: The Two and Only,” is a ventriloquism tour de force that won him the Tony® Award for “Best Special Theatrical Event,” and he also won the Los Angeles Ovation Award for “Best Solo Show.” Comedian Dana Daniels and Luigi, the “Psychic Parrot,” perform unique off-the-wall magic blended with rapid-fire comedy. Dana has performed worldwide on major cruise lines and is a favorite at famous clubs like the Improv, Wizards and the Magic Castle. Les Arnold, who works with his daughter (known as “Dazzle”), has one of the funniest magic parody acts on the scene today. The gifted grandson of The Great Leon, Les presents mind-boggling illusions in the grand style, with modern twists and plenty of hilarious audience participation. Having won the All-China Best Magician, followed by Stage Magician of the Year, Juliana Chen went on to become the first magician of Chinese heritage to win the World Championship at the World Congress of Magicians in Germany. She has since performed worldwide at top venues, such as the London Palladium, the Princess Grace Theatre in Monte Carlo, Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Tiger Palast in Frankfurt, NHK Theatre in Tokyo, and the Berlin Wintergarten. Jason Bishop features stunning and original state of the art magic. Each show features award winning sleight of hand, exclusive grand illusions and close-up magic projected onto a large screen. No other illusionist presents such a diverse array of talents. Tickets for It’s Magic! are on sale now at Lobero.org and at the Lobero Box Office 805.963.0761.
