We wouldn’t think about visiting Las Vegas without stopping at two of the city’s finest restaurants: Piero’s Italian Cuisine and La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway.
Piero’s is a much-loved Las Vegas tradition where fine Italian dining meets old school Vegas. Tradition, family, and flavor has been at the heart and soul of Piero’s since 1982. Built from traditional Italian recipes and high-quality seafood, customers and critics regularly award Piero’s with “Best of Las Vegas” accolades for famous Italian menu and service. The friendly team there treats guests as family to ensure the most memorable meals and enjoyable times.
We usually start with a tangy Caesar salad, carpaccio made with Piedmontese beef and truffle vinaigrette or Pats’ meatballs with whipped ricotta. Then we have to navigate among an enticing selection of amazing entrees: our top dishes are veal chop, steaks, Chilean sea bass, salmon piccata, scaloppine Marsala, swordfish, chicken with artichoke hearts and their legendary osso bucco.
We appreciate the longstanding tradition of an “old school” Las Vegas restaurant reminiscent of 1980’s luxury, design, and comfort. The cooking is authentic, the atmosphere old-school vibrant, and the service warm and kind thanks to the meticulous care of Evan Glusman. Call (702) 369-2305, https://pieroscuisine.com
Famed restaurateurs Michael and Jenna Morton introduced La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway in 2010 to bring Las Vegas a unique exploration of wine and flavorful cuisine together in a stylish atmosphere. Offering a picturesque setting for dining, La Cave’s open-air design brings the outdoors inside with views of Wynn’s lush gardens and pool, along with a floor-to-ceiling “living wall” filled with colorful succulents. The 6,300-square-foot restaurant and wine bar serves a menu of modern American small plates inspired by global flavors by executive chef William DeMarco, paired with imaginative cocktails and an expertly curated wine list featuring boutique and hard-to-find varietals.

We love the idea of shareable plates here and our favorites are jumbo lump crab lettuce cups, beef filet crostini and woodfired pizzas. La Cave opens at 11:30 a.m. daily and also offers an elegant butler-style brunch served tableside every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations may be made on Open Table, visiting www.LaCaveLV.com or by calling (702) 770-3607.
