OUR FAVORITE WINES FOR MAY

Kenefick Ranch 2021 Merlot, Calistoga, Napa Valley, 100 % Estate Grown, aged 18 months in new French barrique, then bottled unfiltered.

We swooned over the intricate aromatics with a rich structure showcasing creme brulee notes and dark berry preserve.  This outstanding 2021 Merlot shows a very complex yet intricate aromatic profile of dried raspberry intertwining with plum notes and floral perfumes. Subtle pie crust toast notes underly the fruit.

The palate is just rich enough with structure, creme brulee notes and dark berry preserve to provide an excellent middle and finish on every sip.  Kenefickranch.com

UNO 2020, a Malbec from Antigal Winery & Estates in Mendoza, Argentina is a luscious one-of-a-kind violet-red wine brimming with black and red berry fruit, especially plums, strawberries, blackberries and enticing hints of violets, vanilla, and milk chocolate brightened by natural acidity and supported by firm, ripe tannins. This Malbec has a unique personality that reflects the supreme quality of the grapes, hand-harvested from high on the Andes foothills. We enjoyed UNO’s smoothness, purity and flavor, a result of French and American oak aging. The vanilla spice notes and long finish make this wine a winner. About $16 a bottle.
