Legendary Rock n’ Roll Hotel, Sunset Marquis, Announces 2014 Live @ Sunset Marquis Acoustic Summer Music Showcase

Over the past 50 years, the Sunset Marquis Hotel has served as home-away-from-home for musicians across the spectrum of genres. A multitude of artists and bands have sauntered through its hallways, including Led Zeppelin, Blondie, KISS, Black Sabbath, The Killers, Slash, Chris Cornell, Green Day, Aerosmith, Kings of Leon and many others. The music industry has played a big role in helping this serene garden oasis to achieve iconic status. To pay it forward, Sunset Marquis continues its tradition of a summer acoustic music showcase, titled Live @ Sunset Marquis.

This 2014 series, which begins May 30 and runs through October 3, will embark down a slightly different path, featuring not only up-and-coming artists, but also incredibly talented emerging artists that guests may already recognize on select nights throughout the summer. This new twist on the series aims to elevate each show to a whole new level, offering attendees and sponsors an up close and personal listening experience with tomorrow’s next big artists.

Previous artists have included Run River North and Gary Clark, Jr., to name a few.

These intimate performances will be held on the Villa Pool Deck and will hold a maximum of 200 guests, allowing each guest to feel uber connected with the artist performing.

Each evening will begin with doors opening at 6pm. Up-and-coming artists will perform between 7pm and 9pm, and the following hour will be set aside for the emerging artists.

Live @ Sunset Marquis is by invitation-only, but it is open to guests staying on property. Special hotel packages for Live @ Sunset Marquis can be seen HERE.

Show dates are May 30, June 13, June 27, July 11, July 26, August 8, August 22, September 5, September 19 and October 3.
