We recently ate at Chambers and can attest to its excellence. Located behind a modest door with no sign in the iconic Phoenix hotel, this place is vintage rocker meets Mid-century modern style. We enjoyed the sexy, low-key vibe and seasonal, market-driven menu and creative cocktails, in the restaurant, lounge or poolside on the patio or in a no- reservations-required cabana.

Lots of hotels strive to be hip, but the this irreverent, mid-century motor lodge in San Francisco’s Tenderloin has a rock ‘n’ roll soul with more than a little edge. How many San Francisco hotels are the crash pad and launching pad for world-renowned bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and The Killers? Our boutique hotel has been a home away from home for creative spirits since 1987. http://www.thephoenixhotel.com
