One of San Francisco’s best-kept secrets, CHAMBERS eat + drink at the Phoenix Hotel, has announced the appointment of new Executive Chef Yosuke Machida.
Chef Machida joins Chambers eat + drink brings with him a diverse scope of experience with culinary specialties ranging from Spanish, to French to Japanese and all infused with contemporary Californian flare.
Machida’s culinary career began at Mundaka in Carmel where he worked under Chef Brandon Miller. Prior to joining Chambers, Machida served as as Executive Chef at the St. Regis where he successfully led the culinary program at the Michelin Starred Ame restaurant. His impressive experience also includes roles at Epic Roasthouse and La Folie.
We recently ate at Chambers and can attest to its excellence. Located behind a modest door with no sign in the iconic Phoenix hotel, this place is vintage rocker meets Mid-century modern style. We enjoyed the sexy, low-key vibe and seasonal, market-driven menu and creative cocktails, in the restaurant, lounge or poolside on the patio or in a no- reservations-required cabana.
