A stay is not complete without one of Executive Chef Andrew Sutton’s magnificent dinners at Carthay Circle Restaurant, where the cuisine is the star. The innovative fare changes with the seasons and features Southern California flavors. The restaurant’s décor reflects the romance and glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Also special are the references throughout to Walt Disney’s first feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We feasted on sweet corn griddle cakes with chanterelle mushrooms, Skuna Bay salmon, and finished with Heirloom Apple Croustade topped with salted caramel ice cream. The stylish lobby lounge is the place to sip on artfully crafted cocktails.
Our favorite snacks in Disneyland include sweets from the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café on Main Street, the legendary Dole Whip at Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland, and Mickey-shaped beignets from Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square. For character dining, bring the family to see Mickey and friends at Storytellers Café, where Mickey’s Tale of Adventure Breakfast Buffet recently debuted at Grand California Hotel and Spa.
