Alice in Wonderland Tea Experiences at The Egerton in London

For example, there’ the “Down the Rabbit Hole” tea picnic:

Escape to the many green spaces close to The Egerton with your own “Alice” picnic, complete with a selection of “Cheshire Cat” tea sandwiches, homemade “White Rabbit” plain and fruit scones, exquisite “Alice” cakes and pastries, and bottled water. Bring your thermos and they will provide a selection of Hatter Teas to choose from.

For an extra-special and unique experience, allow the Egerton’s Hatter butler to escort you on your picnic, with a wicker picnic hamper filled with “Alice” treats and a playful flamingo croquet set. The Hatter butler will carefully serve your picnic along with two Champagne cocktails.

The Hatter’s Tea Party

Take a journey through the rabbit hole with the Hatter. Enjoy a selection of freshly cut sandwiches, including H. Forman’s smoked salmon, free-range egg mayonnaise, Blythburgh roast ham and English mustard, cucumber and cream cheese, and coronation chicken, before home-baked scones with delicious preserves and Devonshire clotted cream.

The hotel’s exceptional pastry tier includes a “Queen of Hearts” raspberry jam tart with almond crumble; a “Pearl of Oysters” white chocolate Lanson Champagne truffle based upon the Oysters in ‘The Walrus and the Carpenter’, a poem recited by Tweedledum and Tweedledee to Alice; and “Eat Me” chocolate cake with a rich buttercream icing inspired by the whimsical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Children’s “White Rabbit” Afternoon Tea:

Specially designed for children under the age of 12 years, all will enjoy e a fine selection of sandwiches and freshly baked white rabbit scones, all accompanied by a choice of tea or hot chocolate. The “Six O’Clock brownie” is a rich chocolate orange brownie, while the ice-cream sandwich combines three flavurs, sandwiched between toasted brioche bread. Little ones will adore the “Drink Me” mocktails.

“Drink Me” with Alice

Whimsically served by The Egerton’s Hatter with delicious canapés, this includes signature “Alice” cocktails include Drink Me, The Mad Hatter and Around the Clock, with Tanqueray gin, Lanson Pierre et fils champagne, butterfly pea flower tea, simple syrup and lemon juice.
