A Momentous Royal Celebration: London at Red Carnation Hotels

In less than a year’s time, the UK will mark a historic milestone as Her Majesty The Queen celebrates 70 years on the throne… The first time any British monarch has reached this momentous occasion.

Over a four-day weekend from 2nd – 5th June, London will showcase an exciting program of events, and each Red Carnation hotel (our favorite hotels) in the capital will join the celebrations with a carefully- curated collection of experiences. The Queen’s birthday parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, is expected to pass The Rubens at the Palace opposite the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace, while the weekend will close with a Royal Air Force flypast, observed by the Royal Family from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

There will also be a “Platinum Party” concert at Buckingham Palace, showcasing some of the world’s biggest stars, and a traditional service at St Paul’s Cathedral, close to The Montague on the Gardens.

Across each of the Red Carnation hotels, there will be creative celebratory menus, beautiful displays, themed cocktails and special events, as they highlight the very best of British splendor and pageantry. We urge you to join them as all come together in thanks for Her Majesty’s 70-year reign… The well-tuned Red Carnation teams will be happy to help you curate your perfect stay in London.
