With more people than ever taking part in “Veganuary”, a yearly, month-long commitment to veganism, The Rubens at the Palace, a much-admired Red Carnation hotel in London, has introduced an newly updated, innovative Vegan Afternoon Tea.

We love The Rubens at the Palace, a beautifully-run hotel with historic roots brought to life with authentic British hospitality and theatrical dining experiences. The Rubens is a family of passionate people, with a warm, inclusive ethos that embraces everything they do. They are a distinguished part of the family-owned and run Red Carnation Hotel Collection, a hotel group we think has no equal around the world.
The menu has been designed by their talented pastry chef Sarah Houghting with the aim of not just tasting great but of going the extra mile to incorporate fresh fruit and vegetables. The clever substitutions Sarah has made make the hotel’s Vegan Afternoon Tea both a more sustainable choice for the planet and a better choice for your health.

Sarah has carefully curated a vegan offering that pays respect to the tradition of Afternoon Tea, providing the same special experience while incorporating innovative, fresh twists along the way. Sample a delightful selection of vegan cakes, pastries and finger sandwiches, including swede and ginger cake, raspberry and pistachio tart, passionfruit and parsnip finger, and chai latte cheesecake, made with an indulgent coconut cream. Matcha scones are perfectly paired with seasonal apple and bitter orange preserve.

As an extra treat, choose to accompany your Vegan Afternoon Tea with a glass of Lanson Le Green Label Organic Brut Champagne – the first ever entirely organic Champagne.
Until 28th February, the hotel is delighted to offer a saving of 20% on Afternoon Tea experiences for bookings from Monday to Friday when you book directly with them. The Rubens at the Palace
