We can think of no better way to spend an afternoon than watching polo at the historic Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, now in its 110th year. There is something for everyone at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. Competition is at all levels, from beginners in an arena to low, medium and high goal polo. The Club and its members strive to produce the highest quality experience with outstanding fields and facilities, and professional umpiring to ensure equal treatment for all participants. While the competition at the medium and high goal levels is very intense, they strive for a fair and safe outcome for every match and every tournament.
Polo is a sport of beauty and magic, of speed and danger, of spectacle and bravery. To watch the intricacies and maneuvers of athleticism, both man and horse is thrilling.

At the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club there is much to amuse visitors: an atmospheric clubhouse with bar, boutique, quality cuisine and drink from The Fieldside Grill, and members have access to a first-rate tennis facility and pool. The Club has a wonderful and genuine sociability that can be shared by all.

There is always an exciting slate of events scheduled here. The season runs from April through October. Matches are held throughout the week, but we prefer Sunday events which are filled with pageantry, fashionable dresses and sophisticated hats. There’s nothing quite like it in Santa Barbara. A must for any visitor or resident. Needless to say, there is a certain prince playing there these days who is attracting a lot of attention.
